Awards
Awarded top practice in WA by RACGP 2017, our peak representative body, for 'exemplary service and quality care and leadership in health promotion initiatives'.
We also placed second place (runner up) in the National General Practice Awards in 2016, an award in which we placed as a finalist in a previous year also. These are very prestigious awards with many practices from all over the country being eligible (any accredited practice is eligible for this award).
Accreditation
Canning Vale Medical Centre has been accredited by Australian General Practice Accreditation (AGPAL)Ltd continuously since the year 2000. This organization assesses practices against best standards to ensure quality services, practices and systems. We are proud to have been able to achieve this for such a long period with high commendations on our regular reviews from the assessors.
Professional Development
We regularly host medical students, pharmacy, and nursing students and doctors in training at the practice for the purposes of teaching and supporting our local health profession. This process also means that the doctors are engaged in a process of continued professional development to ensure that we stay up to date with rapid changes in the health sector. Our doctors, nurses, and administrative team participate in regular in-house training provided by our clinic as well as meeting the requirements of their own continuing education.
Privacy
The practice privacy policy is signed by each patient when they first attend our practice. Ask at reception to review this if you have forgotten about it. Our practice will from time to time engage third party providers who may use technologies to collect or receive information from our website and other online platforms and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads.
